To begin, login to SCRM with your user name and password. Your user name is your email address and your initial password is assigned by the system. Before you can access SCRM, you will receive an email from the system with your login credentials. If you forget your password, you can click on the RESET PASSWORD link on the login page to get a new password.

After login, every user will arrive on their landing page. The landing page consists of the various modules contained within the Supply Chain Risk Management Application. Only those applications that you have permission to access will be active, those that are not will be grayed out. For this tutorial, we want to access the First Article Inspection Application. To do so, we left click on the button titled “First Article Inspection”.

As in the prior menu, only those items you have permission to access will be active. There are several sub menus and actions you can access in the FAI menu. You can “Log Out”, Return to the previous menu, access; “Setup Administration”, Supplier Management”, “Customer Management”, “FAI Planning” and the “FAI Status Home”. For the purposes of this user guide, we’ll access the “Set Up Administration” page by left clicking on the button.

The Set-Up page has five links to choose from; “My Settings” (Which can also be accessed through the FAI Status Page), “User Management”, “Supply Chain Management”, “Global Settings” and the “Main Menu”. As in previous Menus, you will only have access to those buttons where you have permission to do so, all other buttons will be grayed out. For the purposes of this user guide, we’ll left click on “User Management”.

After selecting “User Management” on the previous menu, the company search menu appears. Your company will appear below the search menu. If you have permission(s) to access multiple companies (for example your suppliers) you may use the search menu to access those companies. Otherwise select your company by left clicking the company name.

After selecting your company, a table appears with users assigned to your company. The list shows the Modules to which they have access, the role type they can play in the supply chain and permissions the users have in the various modules. To add a new user, left click the “New User” button.

The New User Page will appear. Enter the new user’s First and Last name, their title and email address. Enter the new user’s temporary password and confirm it. Select “save” when the correct information has been entered in the six fields.

After “save” is selected on the previous screen, the user permissions screen is displayed. Under “Assignment”, select “FAI” under the module section. Select “Organization” in the “Type” section. In the permissions section, assign the role the user will perform. At a minimum, you should have someone assigned as a “Setup Administrator” (to change setup settings), someone assigned to “Inspection”, and someone assigned to “Quality”. These individual permissions are required to enter information on the FAI forms. Additional roles are required for the FAI Planning Function which are discussed in another user guide. You can also assign the FAI Reviewer Role which allows the user to View an FAI, but no ability to approve or modify the FAI in any way. Users may be assigned multiple roles if required. Select “Save” to complete the process.

After “save” is selected on the previous screen, the user table is displayed. To modify a user’s permissions, rather than click on “New User”, left click on the user’s name or ID number. The application will take you to the “User Permissions” screen, the same screen as the new user permissions, where you can modify those permissions for the selected user. Click “Return to Setup Administration” or “Log Out” to leave this screen.
